Language Requirement
IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5 (NOT GENERAL) with a minimum of 6.0 in Speaking and Writing. IELTS indicator is not accepted.
TOEFL iBT: 88 with a minimum of 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing. TOEFL iBT home is accepted.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) – Academic: Overall 65; minimum 60 in Speaking and Writing.
CAEL: Overall score of 60 with a minimum of 50 in Speaking and Writing.
Cambridge English Qualifications: Overall score of 176, with a minimum of 169 in Speaking and Writing.
Duolingo English Test (DET) Requirement: Effective March 3, 2025, New York Institute of Technology – Vancouver accepts the Duolingo English Test (DET) with a minimum overall score of 135 with no band less than 125
